Ashwani Kumar meet Shimon Peres

New Delhi, May 23 (UNI) Minister of State for Industry Ashwini Kumar,who is currently in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt to attend the World Economic Forum's Regional meeting met Israeli Vice Premier Shimon Peres and discussed the future of Indo -Israeli economic relations.

Dr Kumar expressed appreciation for Israeli co-operation with India in the field of advanced and high technology including defence.

Mr Peres appreciated India's commitment to democracy and its democratic management of a complex pluralist society. He expressed the hope of visiting India at the earliest opportunity to further consolidate the deepening of Indo-Israeli relations and conveyed his greetings to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
