ABHM cautions Govt against talks with Pak on Siachen
New Delhi, May 23 (UNI) The Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha today cautioned the Government against holding talks with Pakistan over Siachen, saying Islamabad cannot be trusted.
Mahasabha National President Dineshchandra Tyagi said if India withdraws troops from Siachen it will provide an advantage to Pakistan which will be difficult to counter.
''The entire nation is facing the threat of terrorism and under such circumstances talks with Pakistan will spell disaster,'' he added.
He said the Government should follow the policy formed by former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi while dealing with the Siachen issue.
India and Pakistan are holding two-day talks here from today on the proposal to withdraw troops from Siachen glacier in Jammu and Kashmir.
About tomorrow's Kashmir roundtable, he said the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's invitation to separatist will only encourage militants towards more violence.
