Rajiv Jyothi en route to Sriperumbudur

Pondicherry, May 20 (UNI) A rousing reception was accorded to the 'Rajiv Jyothi,' which arrived here last night.

INTUC office-bearers led by convenor G Ravichandran received it The 'Jyothi,' which started from Karnataka, passed through Kerala and different parts of Tamil Nadu and reached here last night.

Pondicherry Chief Minister N Rangasamy flagged off the 'jyothi' in the presence of PCC President P Shanmugham and several other Congress functionaries this morning.

The 'Jyothi' will reach Sriperumbudur in Tamil Nadu, where Rajiv Gandhi was assassinated, later in the day. His death anniversary falls tomorrow.
