Montgomerie misses cut at Irish Open
MAYNOOTH, Ireland, May 20: Colin Montgomerie's recent run of poor form continued today when the Scot missed the cut at the weather-disrupted Irish Open by one stroke.
The eight-times European number one missed his seventh cut in nine outings when the cut-off was finalised at four-over-par 148 after the remaining 50 players with unfinished second rounds completed them in the morning.
There was no change to the overnight leaderboard with 3-year-old Belgian Nicolas Colsaerts on four-under-par holding a one-shot lead at the halfway stage over Britain's Ian Poulter and Anthony Wall and Frenchman Christian Cevaer.
