Marathi film 'Nareee Tuzhee Ajab Kahanee' released in Kolhapur

Kolhapur, May 20 (UNI) A Marathi film 'Naree Tuzhee Ajab Kahanee' was released in Kolhapur yesterday.

The film drives home the message that Indian culture is of high quality and people should respect it. The film also gives youngsters an opportunity to showcase their talent and begin their carrer in films, the film's producer-director Dr Yashwant Bajirao told reporters on the eve of the film's premiere last evening.

The film's story, script and songs have been written by Dr Yashwant Bajirao. Traditionally, the films used to be shot in Kolhapur, Mumbai and Pune. But this film, has, however, been shot at Nagpur, he said.

Noted Marathi actor Vijay Chavan plays the role of a police officer in the movie. Besides Chavan, rest of the cast consists of newcomers who have earlier acted in dramas, Dr Bajirao added.

Veteran singer Usha Mangeshkar and melody queen Lata Mangeshkar have lent their voice for the movie, he said.
