JD(U) responsible for attack on scribes and policemen:Congress

Patna, May 20 (UNI) The Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee (BPCC) today blamed the JD(U) for attack on scribes and policemen during pro- reservation procession of medicos here yesterday.

BPCC chief spokesman Prem Chandra Mishra alleged here today that procession was led by JD(U) leader Bhumipal, who instigated the medicos to attack journalists and policemen.

He said criminal elements were present in the procession of medicos and created trouble at the instance of the JD(U) leaders.

Mr Mishra described the order of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for thorough probe into the incident as mere an eyewash. He demanded expulsion of Mr Bhumipal from the JD(U) and appropriate legal action against him if the Chief Minister was really serious over the incident.

The Congress leader said the JD(U) wanted to create tension in the society by instigating criminal elements to create troubles. He said his party would not allow anyone to disturb the fabric of the society for political gains.
