Brinda Karat arrives to participate in two-day state CPI(M) meeting
Ranchi, May 20 (UNI) The CPI(M)'s Jharkhand unit today began its two-day state committee meeting here in the presence of polit Bureau member Brinda Karat.
The main agenda the meeting took up for deliberation, included present political situation in the state following former chief minister Babulal Marandi's resignation from the BJP's preliminary membership and giving up his Lok Sabha seat.
Party's state secretariat member Prakash Viplav told UNI that other issues to emerge during the meeting are poor implementation of public distribution system, rojgar guarantee scheme and plight of displaced people because of land requisition following expansion of industries in the state.
He said inavailability of school books would be also be discussed by the party.
