9 killed in lightning

Darbhanga (Bihar), May 20 (UNI) Altogether nine people were killed in lightning in different parts of Darbhanga and Madhubani districts yesterday.

Official sources said three persons were killed at Ramnagar village under Baheri police station, while two children died in a mango orchard at Jetuka village. In Barhi village a 10-year-old girl died while her mother and sister sustained injuries due to the lightning.

A woman was killed at Shivram village of the district.

Meanwhile according to a report from Madhubani, two people, including a woman, were killed following lightning in different parts of the district yesterday.
