30th National Arm Wrestling at Hyderabad

Hyderabad, May 20: About 800 contestants will take part in the 30th National Arm Wrestling Championship here from July 6 to 9.

Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP) Chairman M S Raj Thakur told reporters that the winners of the competition would be selected for the 28th World Arm Wrestling Championship scheduled to be held in Manchester, UK, in November this year.

Matinee idol Rajasekhar unveiled the winner's belt while Raj Thakur unveiled the crown for the ladies champion. Vice-Chairman of SAAP G Kamala Vardhan Rao and AP Arm Wrestling Association Secretary Hashim Reza Zabeth were present on the occasion.
