Woman axed to death

Mirzapur, May 19 (UNI) A woman was allegedly axed to death by four miscreants in Chunar area here last night, police today said.

Dharma Devi of village Baghi was sleeping in her portico when the assailants entered the house by scaling the walls.

They first gagged Dharma and later killed her.

According to police, the murder was the result of an old enmity.

A manhunt has been launched to nab the culprits.
