Two jawans wounded, ultra captured, arms seized in J
Srinagar, May 19 (UNI) Two security force personnel were wounded in a fierce encounter while forces apprehanded an ultra and seized arms and ammunition in the Jammu and Kashmir since last evening, an official spokesman said today.
On a specific information, security forces and Jammu and Kashmir police conducted a search operation at village Bahu Top in Gandoh area of Doda district late last night.
During the operation, militants attacked the search party with automatic weapons, which was retaliated resulting in a fierce encounter in which two security personnel were wounded, the spokesman said.
An ultra was also wounded in the shootout, but he fled with his accompanies, taking advantage of darkness and the dense forest, the spokesman said.
A massive hunt has been launched to nab them, he said.
Security forces apprehanded a local train militant at Model Town-B, Sopore in north Kashmir district of Baramulla and seized one Pistol, one magazine and four rounds from him.
Security forces busted a militant hideout at Budhal Gali in Ramban area and seized two AK magazines, 44 rounds, three SLR magazines, 174 rounds of 7.62 mm rifle and one INSAS rifle from the hideout.
