Three people con chartered accountant of Rs 60 lakh

Mumbai, May 18 (UNI) The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Mumbai Police has registered a complaint against three people for allegedly deceiving a chartered accountant of Rs 60 lakh.

Police said Dilip Lokuram Arora, in his complaint filed yesterday, stated that P Sanpatkumar, S M K Murthy and Satish Patel had approached him between November, 2005, and January 13, 2006, to get loan of Rs 30 crore sanctioned from the Union Bank of India. For this, they had submitted forged documents of fixed deposits with Steel Authority of India Ltd to the bank.

Meanwhile, the trio had taken a loan of Rs 60 lakh from Mr Arora with a promise that they would repay the loan money after the applied loan amount was sanctioned. But they did not repay his amount. Finally, he lodged the complaint, police added.
