Three killed, 18 injured in a road accident

Kozhikode, May 19 (UNI) Three people were killed and 18 injured when a van in which they were travelling collided with a KSRTC bus at Palolipalam, near Vadakara in the district early today.

Police said the mishap occurred while the group returning from a marriage in Kollam district.

The deceased were identified as K Rajesh (26), V Santhosh (26) and Rajesh (23) hailing from Cherukunnu in the neighbouring district of Kannur.

The injured have been admitted to nearby hospitals and Medical College Hospital in Pariyaram and Kozhikode.
