three killed, 18 hurt in road accident

Kozhikode, May 19 (UNI) Three people were killed and 18 injured, four of them seriously, when a tempo van in which they were travelling collided with a KSRTC bus at Palolipalam, near Vadakara, in the district early today.

Police identified the victims as K Rajesh (26), V Santhosh (26) and Rajesh (23) hailing from Cherukunnu in the neighbouring district of Kannur.

They were returning after attending a friend's marriage in Kollam district, Police said.

The injured have been admitted to nearby hospitals and Medical College Hospitals in Pariyaram and Kozhikode.
