SBI announces Q4 net down 20 pc, dividend at Rs 14 per share
Mumbai, May 19 (UNI) State Bank of India (SBI) has posted a net profit of Rs 853.29 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2006 as compared to Rs 1064.88 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2005, a decline of 19.87 per cent.
Announcing the results, the company said its total income has increased from Rs 10338.16 crore in Q4 FY 04-05 to Rs 11186.10 crore for Q4 FY 05-06.
The Bank has posted a net profit of Rs 4406.67 crore for the year ended March 31, 2006 (FY 05-06) as compared to Rs 4304.52 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005 (FY 04-05). Total Income has increased from Rs 39547.91 crore in FY 04-05 to Rs 43183.62 crore for FY 05-06.
As per the Consolidated results, the Group has posted a net profit after minority interest of Rs 5529.92 crore for the year ended March 31, 2006 (FY 05-06) as compared to Rs 5463.93 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005 (FY 04-05). Total Income has increased from Rs 54535.70 crore in FY 04-05 to Rs 60834.92 crore for FY 05-06.
The Board has declared a dividend of Rs 14 per share for the year ended March 31, 2006.
