Sachin says he is progressing but not yet fully fit
Chennai, May 19 (UNI) Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar, who is undergoing a fitness schedule to strengthen his operated shoulder today said his recovery has not yet reached the level to play international matches.
Addressing a press conference after another round of workout in the gymnasium and batting at the nets here, he said, ''There is noticeable difference. The progress is quite a bit.'' ''There is no pain as such. It is a matter of strengthening,'' he said and also indicated that he needed some more rest.
However, Sachin said he could not say anything final about whether he would make it to the Test team for the four-match series against the West Indies next month untill the fitness test is done in Mumbai on May 23.
''I am progressing to the best of my ability. I am trying my best to go.'' MRF Pace Foundation head coach T A Sekar said Sachin will fly back to Mumbai tomorrow morning.
