Rajnath's neice killed in road mishap

Mirzapur, May 19 (UNI) A neice of BJP president and former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Rajnath Singh was killed in a road accident here this afternoon.

Police said Kalpana (8) -- daughter of Rajnath's brother-in-law (husband of wife's sister) Shyam Singh -- was travelling in a motorcycle with her parents, when it collided with a tractor in Halia area killing her on the spot. Her parents also sustained grievous injuries and were rushed to hospital.

However, the tractor driver fled the scene.

A case had been registered.
