Rajasthan has enough oil stocks to last 50 years

Jaipur, May 19 (UNI) Rajasthan has oil stocks that can last for 50 years and has the capacity to produce 2,000 barrels of oil each day' Cairn Energy Chairman Bill Gamel has informed the State Mines and Petroleum Minister Laxmi Narayan Dave.

Mr Gamel and other officers discussed about the research and development to be carried out in the state for discovering oil fields and setting up of oil refineries with the state government.

He also discussed about the oil discoveries made till now, commercial production of oil and praised the state government's role in the entire effort.

Mr Gamel said there are possibilties of discovering new oil fields in Uttarlai. Mr Dave said one or two oil fields in Barmer area will definitely start production from July this year.
