Prince Plastic to set up 2nd plant in Haridwar
New Delhi, May 19: Mumbai-based plastic houseware major Prince Plastics International Pvt Ltd, plans to invest Rs 5 crore for setting up its second manufacturing plant in Haridwar, Uttaranchal, to meet its domestic as well as export market requirements.
The plant will start production in August and will be fully operational by October this year to meet the demand of all kinds of plastic wares for the Diwali festival season.
The company already has its plant in Daman with installed capacity to produce 100,000 pieces per month.
Launching its Click'n'Seal stackable storage containers designed for preserving 100 per cent airtight food preservation system for the first time in the Northern region, Company Director Mahesh Chheda said that Prince Plastics has its own design department equipped with CAD, CAM and CNC to produce innovative products.
A Rs 100-crore ISO 9001:2000 Kishore Chheda Group company, owners of Princeware brand, has a product portfolio of over 700-800 plastic items in the range of plastic ware, thermoware and moulded furniture also.
Mr Chheda said the company has set a target to achieve a 25 per cent increase in its turnover on year-to-year basis. The exports contribute about 70 per cent of the turnover.
Prince Products are exported to over 50 countries across the globe and have been awarded the Best exporter award by the Plastic Export Promotion Council of India. Clients of the brand Prince of the firm include companies Coke, Pepsi, Bajaj, Nirma, Dabur and HLL.
