One killed as Sumo crashes into army crane

Shimla, May 19 (UNI) A pilgrim was killed and two seriously injured after the vehicle they were traveling in, crashed into an army crane at Bali village of Kangra district in Himachal Pradesh today, police said.

The vehicle was carrying nine members of a family from Kusba Khas Muradabad of Uttar Pradesh to Bajjeshwari Temple when it crashed into the crane coming form the opposite side, killing one person on spot and injuring two others.

Police said the injured have been admitted to a hospital at Kangra and were yet to be identified, while the dead was identified as Ram Nath Yadav.

A case has been registered and investigations were on, police added.
