Nitish announces probe into the clash during pro-reservation rally
Patna, May 19 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today announced a high level probe into the clashes during a ro-reservation rally of the medicos in Bihar.
Deputy Inspector General(Headquarters) Anil Sinha said here that the Chief Minister has ordered an investigation into the incident.
He said a case had already been registered and law would take its own course.
Meanwhile, Indian Medical Association president Dr Ajay Kumar told to UNI over telephone that the incident was 'unfortunate' and some anti-socials might have engineered the clash.
He said the students erere taking out a peaceful demonstration but suddenly the pro-reservation students took out a procession, along with sticks, and turned violent which indicated involvement of anti-socials in the entire episode.
Dr Kumar, associated with Patna Medical College Hospital(PMCH), said he was familiar with the medical students and all of them were not medicos.
Reservation Supporters Front president Bhhomipal, Chief General Secretary Subhash Singh Chandravanshi, General Secretary Arvind Nishad and others, who were present in the rally, squarely blamed Additional Director General Of Police Abhayanand and the town DSP Sushant Saroj for the lathi charge and demanded their dismissal.
They threatened to paralyse the emergency services at the PMCH till their demands were met.
