MCD seals 95 shops on 42nd day

New Delhi, May 19 (UNI) The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) sealed 95 properties on the 42nd day of the drive today.

As many as 104 units were sealed between 1700 hrs and 2000 hrs yesterday.

The MCD also desealed 105 properties today while 11 shops were desealed between 1700 hrs to 2000 hrs yesterday.

More than 12,000 shops in residential areas have been sealed since the operation began on March 29.

Sealing action has already been completed in the city area.

In the Western Zone, the authority sealed 31 properties and 21 units were sealed in the Shahdara (North).

Seventeen units were sealed in Shahdara (South), 13 in Sadar Paharganj and nine in Civil Lines. Three properties were sealed in Najafgarh and one was in Central Zone.

So far, the MCD has demolished, 2642 properties of which 1,473 were residential units.
