Mah Govt announces cash prize of Rs 5 lakh to police team

Mumbai, May 19 (UNI) Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister R R Patil today announced a cash prize of Rs five lakh for the Mumbai police team which arrested the two accused in the sensational diamond heist at a Hyderabad jewellery shop within 72 hours of the crime.

The police team had called on Mr Patil at Mantralaya, where they were felicitated.

Andhra Pradesh Home Minister Jana Reddy will also felicitate the team, Mr Patil said.

On May 15 mid-night, the accused stole diamonds and jewellery from Alukas jewellers in Somajiguda area of Hyderabad. The Mumbai police arrested them in the city within 72 hours of the crime.
