Local media boycotts FICCI function in Srinagar

Srinagar, May 19 (UNI) The entire local media staged a walk-out in protest against inadequate seating arrangements at a function organised by Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) here today.

As soon as the FICCI Executive Committee meeting began at Hotel Intercontinental (Grand Palace) here at 1145 hrs this morning, the local media protested inadequate seating arrangements as most of the journalists were seen standing inside the hall.

The mediapersons also brought the matter to the notice of the orgainisers.

However, after waiting for some time, the entire local media staged a walk-out and boycotted the function.

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad was scheduled to address the senior industry leaders of FICCI this afternoon.
