Jeev moves up to tied 30th in Munsingwear Open KSB Cup
Okayama, May 19 (UNI) A treble of bogeys took some sheen off Jeev Milkha Singh's eventful second round but an improved two-under 70 by the seasoned Indian pro helped him move up to tied 30th after the midway stage in the 100 million yen Munsingwear Open KSB Cup here today.
The UBS Asian Tour Order of Merit leader so far has had rounds of 71 and 70 and Jeev shares the 30th place with nine others at three-under 141 at the Tojigaoka Marine Hills Golf Club.
Jeev's rollercoaster front nine saw him slotting birdies in the second and fourth but bogeys in the third and fifth pulled him back even though he picked up a shot in the seventh and completed his halfway journey with two par shots.
His backward journey was a sedate affair with the lone bogey in the 13th while he gained a shot each in the 12th, 15th and 18th.
Soushi Tajima and Shingo Katayama have been matching each other in the tournament and after identical rounds of 66 and 69, they share the top spot at nine-under 135.
