Jammu: ISI agent, 2 top Hizbul militants arrested
Jammu, May 19: A top ISI agent and two hardcore militants, including a Pakistani national of terrorist outfit Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) were arrested here during the past 24 hours, sources today said.
A top agent of Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) agency and a key HM militant Saddar Din, who crossed to this side from Tatta Pani (Balnoi) via LoC point in Poonch district on May 15, was nabbed by the Intelligence sleuths from the house of Badder Din of Khanetar, Poonch.
Saddar, wanted since 1986, originally belongs to Khanetar area but had migrated to Rajouri in 1965, sources said.
Saddar, who had along with his wife and a minor daughter crossed over to PoK through LoC in Mendhar in 1986, had links with some spying agancies, including ISI, sources added.
A case had been registered against him with the Poonch Police Station, declaring him as absconder.
In another incident, a hardcore terrorist Ashraf Lohar was nabbed along with his Pakistani associate Zubir at Pul Doda after an encounter with the security forces.
Ashraf was associated with HM for the last six years and was involved in the killing of a contracter.
