ITC Infotech expands in USA, launches operations in Alabama

Kolkata, May 19 (UNI) ITC Infotech, a million fully owned subsidiary of ITC Limited, has announced the launch of its operations in Alabama in USA.

Speaking at the inauguration of the Alabama India Business Partnership (AIBP), president of ITC Infotech (USA) Ashwani Rishi said the company had entered into a strategic alliance with AK-Global Solutions Inc, a leading business consultant, to manage talent pool, technology and expertise.

Targetting a rapid growth, both in top line and staffing numbers, ITC Infotech aimed at expanding its manpower capacity to employ 100 people in Alabama over the next three years.

'' We are delighted to be here and are extremely optimistic about the growth potential of the company in Alabama, which is the home to some of the largest manufacturing and engineering companies in the USA, '' he stated.

ITC Infotech's cutting edge global solutions had created several long-term global delivery relationships with international customers; and the company's unique advantage in IT-related services would enable it to be the preferred partner for business across Alabama, he said.

Speaking on the ITC Infotech growth strategy, vice-president of the company Khem Aithani said, '' We are also looking at partnering with mid-size and local players that bring complementary culture and vertical strengths. We intend to sponsor internship programs at Indian colleges for students from leading Alabama technology institutes to bridge cultural gaps and promote a multi-ethnic work environment. '' ITC Infotech had grown to be a USD 60 million company with over 4,100 employees in just six years. In addition to IT Solutions, services and co-sourcing, the company has a joint venture with ClientLogic in the BPO space that offers technical helpdesk with over 2,500 employees.
