Imp role for youth in eradicating social evils in Kashmir

Srinagar, May 19: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad has said that the youth of the state have great role to play in eradication of all social evils and in the creation of an atmosphere of discipline.

He was interacting with National Cadet Corps (NCC) Director General Lt Gen M C Bhandari here last evening.

Mr Azad was informed that cadets from Jammu and Kashmir were showing good results.

The Chief Minister urged Gen Bhandari to train the students of Jammu and Kashmir in aviation field keeping in view the increasing dimension of air traffic connectivity.

Mr Azad said NCC boys and girls could play effective role in reforming the society and help in creating awareness on saving electricity, water sources, demerits and abuses of alcoholism and drugs and encourage inculcation of moral values.

He hoped that the NCC would include students from all government and private schools and organise more awareness camps in social sector during the summer.

The Chief Minister assured that he would be personally interacting with the NCC cadets.
