Haryana to award handicapped officers and officials

Chandigarh, May 19 (UNI) The Haryana government will give 'State Awards' to the outstanding handicapped officers and officials working in the government, semi-government offices or organisations and autonomous bodies.

An official spokesman said the government had invited applications from such employees through their employers while the self-employed handicapped persons could send their applications through the Deputy Commissioner concerned to the Director, Social Justice and Empowerment Department, Haryana by August 31.

He said the employers and the placement officers of the handicapped persons would send their applications through the Labour Commissioner, Haryana.

The application forms would be available at the offices of the District Welfare Officers all over the state, he added.
