Govt to set up multi-crore culture exhibition centre

Aizawl, May 19 (UNI) Union Ministry of Urban Development has approved proposals for setting up a multi-crore rupees permanent culture exhibition centre here.

The proposed project would cost between Rs 15 to 20 crores and sites were already identified, industries department officials today informed.

A detailed feasibility study and a project report are also being prepared by the National Buildings Construction Corporation Limited (NBCC).

The highlight of the proposed exhibition centre would be a multiplex with better facilities for various artisans coming from other states besides, restaurants and lodging.

About 100 stalls would be installed in the proposed centre, which would provide big and quality infrastructure.

The project is expected to be completed by this fiscal, the officials added.
