Governor walks down to greet minister

Guwahati, May 19 (UNI) Asom Governor Lt Gen (Retd) Ajai Singh walked down from the dias to greet the newly sworn-in Pranab Gogoi, who had fractured his leg a few days ago.

Mr Goswami was surprised when the legislator, who attended the swearing-in ceremony on a wheel chair was greeted by the Governor, who came down from the dais specially to shakehands with him.

The Governor shook hands with Mr Gogoi, who was inducted as a Cabinet minister, amid applause by the gathering.
