Five killed as maxi cab rams into tree

Bangalore, May 19 (UNI) Five persons, including three women, were killed and six others injured when a maxi cab rammed into a tree near Houdenahalli in Anekal taluk of Bangalore Rural district today.

Anekal police said the speeding maxi cab, proceeding from Anekal to Bangalore, crumpled up under the impact of the incident.

The deceased were identified as Chandramati (27), Padma (25), Lakshmamma (30), Deepu (17) and Nagaraju (60).

The injured were admitted to Anekal hospital, police added.
