FCI, BPCL score contrasting wins
Chandigarh, May 19 (UNI) Food Corporation of India (FCI) and star-studded Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) scored contrasting wins in the Public Sector Hockey Tournament at the Sector 42 Hockey Stadium here today.
Striker Satwinder Singh hogged the limelight again by completing his second successive hat-trick as FCI routed Mahanagar Telephones Nigam Limited (MTNL) 5-0 to register their second successive victory in the league phase.

Satwinder scored in the second, fourth and ninth minutes while Bhim Kumar and Amit scored one goal each in the 15th and 16th minutes respectively to round off the tally.
Yesterday, Satwinder Singh scored five goals, including a hat-trick against Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited.
In contrast, BPCL, despite having Olympian Sabu Varkey and internationals Sukhvir Singh Gill, Ravi Pal, Prabhdeep and Ajay Saroha in their line-up, were made to struggle by ONGC before eking out a narrow 1-0 win. The all-important goal was scored by Deepak in the 25th minute.
