New Delhi, May 19 (UNI) Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee has urged the government to declare June 16 as a public holiday throughout the country to mark the fourth centenary of Guru Arjan Dev's martyrdom.

In a communication to the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, DSGMC President H S Sarna sought a holiday as the centenary would be observed with great enthusiasm and religious fervour all across the country.
