Disruption of services

Mumbai, May 19 (UNI) More than 450 western railway local trains will be cancelled and nearly 150 cut short in the next three days due to work going on between Borivili to Vasai.

During block, all down services will run on down through line betwen Goregaon and Borivili and Borivili services will be dealt on platform no 3 and 6 at Borivili. 23 Borivali trains will be reversed from Goregaon. All services running during block will get delayed by 10 to 20 minutes. Bus services will be made available from 2230 hours to 0205 hours between Goregaon and Borivali.

All servies of Borivili and Virar sector and mail/express trains running during block will get delayed by 10 -20 minutes. During block all down services will run on down through line between Goregaon and Borivili and Borivili services will be dealt on platform no 3 and 6 at Borivili. Platform no 7 will be commissioned after block.

During block, no train movement to and from Borivili /Virar.

After block normal working will resume due to complete commissioning of Borivili yard.

Meanwhile BEST undertaking has made special arrangement to operate around 300 additional buses to cater to the railway traffic between Andheri , Goregaon, Borivili, Bhayender arising out of mega block at Borivili on Western railway on May 20 and 21.

The additional buses will be operated between Andheri and Borivili on May 20 and between Andheri and Bhayender on May 21. The buses will be operated on route no 202 ltd, 203, 204, 707 ltd, 225, 40 ltd, and 709 ltd and 348 ltd. Depending upon the requirement of the passengers.

BEST has also planned to operate 45 additional buses on route 202 ltd, 203, 204, 40 ltd and 348 ltd. on May 19 between 2200 hours and 0200 hours. BEST has requested passengers to avail the facility of additional buses provided on mega block days, the release said.
