DD to appoint PTCs in districts to increase it reach

Shimla, May 19 (UNI) The Prasar Bharti Board has approved the appointment of part time correspondents in those districts of the country where there were no regular AIR correspondents, an official spokesman today said.

With these appointments, the Prasar Bharti would have correspondents in all the remaining 150 district headquarters of the country.

The spokesman said DD News has a network of stringers who, along with PTCs of the AIR, provide news inputs from various districts of the country.

The appointments would help DD in covering several events across the country that went uncovered due to infrastructure and manpower shortages, he said.
