CCPA discusses Siachen and Sir Creek ahead of meet

New Delhi, May 19 (UNI) As a prelude to the May 23-26 talks between India and Pakistan on Siachen and Sir Creek, under the third round of the composite dialogue process, the Cabinet Committee on Political Affairs today discussed both the issues.

The meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, also discussed various issues in relation to China in the context of Defence Minister Pranab Mukherjee's scheduled visit to that country and Japan from May 24.

Mr Mukherjee, Finance Minister P Chidamabaram and Foreign Secretary Shyam Saran also attended the meeting.
