BSNL chairman issued contempt notice

Allahabad, May 19 (UNI) Allahabad High Court has directed A K Sinha, Chairman/Chief General Manager, BSNL New Delhi, and two others to appear before it on July 13, so that charges under Contempt of Court Act may be framed against them.

This order was passed by Justice D P Singh on a contempt petition of Shiv Ram Upadhyay and others alleging non-conpliance of a court's order passed on August 22, 2005.

The two others include V K Shukla, Chief GM telecom, (Lucknow) and H N Maurya, Deputy GM (Administration), BSNL (Allahabad).

The court had stayed recovery of excess salary from petitioner.
