Bangladesh, Hong Kong, Oman, Chinese Taipei qualify for Asian Games

Dhaka, May 19 (UNI) Hong Kong, Oman and Chinese Taipei joined Bangladesh for a place in Asian Games men's hockey competition after their penultimate round matches in the qualifying tournament here.

Oman got the better of Sri Lanka by a solitary goal while Hong Kong defeated Chinese Taipei with an identical margin.

The loss was, however, enough for Chinese Taipei to finish fourth in the tournament with nine points, five more than fifth-placed Singapore.

Four top finishers qualify for the continental event to be held in Doha from December 2 to 14.

In the other game of the day, Bangladesh maitained their all win record with 10 victory over Singapore.
