Airtel introduces full music
New Delhi, May 19 (UNI) To commemorate the achievment of crossing the 75 million mobile music and song downloads mark, Airtel today offered its customers Full Music and Full Music Video downloads.
Airtel customers can now download a music track by simply logging on to Airtel Live! WAP portal and saving the file on their phone.
The service is available in over 27 mobile phone models.
The Full Music and Video downloads at a price of Rs 20 for a full music download and Rs 30 for a music video download. Of the present Rs 1100 crore mobile music market in India, the digital music comprises a sum of Rs 400 crore.
''Music in the mobile industry today is synonymous with Airtel, we introduced Hello Tunes, brought over 18,000 songs in 20 different languages via 100,000 Airtel music outlets and have recently provided for our music lovers to download digital music content at the press of a button. The service offers the most convenient way to downdown digital MP3 much content on mobile phones without visiting any web portal,'' Bharti Airtel Ltd Director, Marketing and Communication Hemant Sachdev told reporters at a press conference here.
The achievement by Airtel includes all forms of music downloads -- Hello Tunes (Ring back tone) as well as ring tones including MP3, truetones, polytones and mono tones.
Airtel's music journey started with the Airtel signature tune by A R Rehman, which became India's most popular mobile music with over 4 million downloads. It's other firsts include Hello Tunes on mobile as well as landlines, Airtel Live!, the first entertainment zone on the mobile and Easy Music - world's largest mobile music initiative.
With a shared vision from the leaders of the music industry, Airtel will bring delight to the life of every segment of the market with unique music offerings, Mr Sachdev added.

Music labels including HMV Saregama, SonyBMG, Universal and Tips were also present.
Bharti Airtel Ltd has an aggregate of over 22.07 million customers consisting of more than 20.69 million mobile customers.
