After morning rain, evening squall brings mercury further down
New Delhi, May 19 (UNI) Squall with winds upto 62 kmph brought down temperature by eight degrees Celsius in the national capital after rains early this morning had lowered the mercury by two degrees.
The squall, under influence of upper air cyclonic system stationed over North Rajasthan and Southern Punjab, struck at 1844 hrs and lasted for half-and-hour, helped temperature dive from 36 to 28 degrees, weather office said.
Light rain measuring 0.5 mm followed the squall.
