Tata Teleservices achieves cash profit of Rs 26 crore in Q4 FY 06
Mumbai, May 18 (UNI) TATA Teleservices (Maharashtra) has registered a revenue growth of 42 per cent at Rs 307 crore in Q4 FY 06 over the corresponding quarter of the previous year while revenue for FY 06 stood at Rs 1,095 crore as against Rs 807 crore last fiscal.
The company achieved a cash profit of Rs 26 crore in Q4 FY 06 compared to a cash loss of Rs 69 crore in the corresponding quarter previous year while the loss (before extraordinary item and tax) for Q4 FY 06 reduced to Rs 104 crore as compared to Rs 178 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year, a release issued here today said.
The loss (before extraordinary item and tax) for the year reduced to Rs 493 crore as compared to Rs 528 crore for the previous year.
Customer focus coupled with operational efficiency enabled positive EBITDA (earnings before interest taxes depreciation and amortization) for the four consecutive quarters, the release added, pointing out that EBITDA for Q4 stood at Rs 55 crore compared to the EBITDA loss of Rs 25 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year. EBITDA for FY 06 stood at Rs 125 crore as compared to the EBITDA loss of Rs 66 crore for the previous year.
Tata Teleservices has over 18 lakh customers in Maharashtra and Goa, the release added.
