SVNIT-designed vehicle bags trophy in international fair

Surat, May 18 (UNI) An all-terrain vehicle designed by students of the Sardar Vallabhbhai Nationaal Institute of Technology (SVNIT) has won the Chairman's Trophy in the Mini-Baja West-2006 Festival in Portland, Oregon, USA.

Our all-terrain vehicle ''Pushpak'' has won the Chairman's Trophy in the festival and it is a moment of pride for the institution'', said SVVIT head of the Mechanical Engineering department S A Channiwala said.

According to Mr Channiwala, 85 teams from across the world had participated in the festival and SVVIT six-member team was the only entry from India.
