Sensex falls sharply by 713 points to 11,504

Mumbai, May 18 (UNI) The Indian stock markets benchmark index BSE Sensex fell sharply by over five per cent or 713 points to 11,504 this afternoon around 1450 hrs.

Earlier in the morning too the Sensex had fallen by 599.73 points to a low of 11,618 points around 1125 hrs.

National Stock Exchange S&P Nifty index too fell by 225 points around 1500 hrs.
