Mumbai, May 18 (UNI) Noted Hindi film director and producer Rakesh Roshan today slapped a legal notice on Prakash Jaju, former secretary of actress Priyanka Chopra, for giving false statement pertaining to his movie 'Krrish' in the media and threatening to extort money from him.

Advocate Dipesh Mehta, representing Roshan, said the notice was issued because Jaju's statement, published in some sections of media, was aimed at giving bad publicity to the yet-to-be released film and malign the image of film producer.

He said it was a vain attempt on Jaju's part to extort money from his client through utterly unethical and illegal means.

Copies of the notice have been forwarded to Mumbai Police Commissioner A N Roy and Deputy Commissioner of Police (Anti-Extorition Cell) for appropriate action, Mr Mehta informed.

Roshan, through the notice, has asked Jaju to withdraw all his statements unconditionally and demanded a written apology in two nationally circulated newspapers in English and Hindi. If he failed to do so, an appropriate legal action would be taken against him, he added.
