Korean Park set to miss World Cup warm-up game

SEOUL, May 18: Park Ji-sung is likely to miss South Korea's World Cup warm-up match against Senegal on May 23 due to injury, coach Dick Advocaat said.

The Manchester United midfielder is still recovering from an ankle injury sustained in a Premier League match just over two weeks ago.

''There will be a mix of first team members and back-up players for the match against Senegal,'' Advocaat was quoted as saying in the Ilgan Sports newspaper.

Team doctor Park Hyun-chul said Park would join the squad's regular training session at the weekend, but needed more time to recover fully from his injury.

South Korea have been drawn in World Cup Group G along with France, Switzerland and Togo for next month's tournament in Germany.
