HIL to set up two 1.25 TPA plants with 60 cr investment

New Delhi, May 18 (UNI) In a bid to expand its market size, Hyderabad Industries Ltd (HIL) today announced setting up of two more plants of 1.25 lakh tonnes per annum (TPA) capacity each with a total investment of Rs 60 crore, while commissioning its new plant in Satharia.

The new plant is HIL's first asbestos manufacturing plant in Satharia built with an investment of Rs 30 crore and will increase HIL's manufacturing capacity by 1.25 lakh TPA to an overall sheeting capacity of 7.5 lakh TPA.

The plant located 40 kms away from Jaunpur in Uttar Pradesh, aims to cater to it's markets in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Chattisgarh, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh and Nepal.

Besides, HIL has also received approval for a new AAC blocks plant with an investment of Rs 40 crore while simultaneously evaluating plans for substantial expansion at existing locations.

The Satharia plant is Hyderabad Industries' seventh sheeting plant in the country. The firm has plants for other products at Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Faridabad, Jasidih (Jharkhand), Trichur (Kerala) and Wada near Mumbai.

HIL's product-range includes corrugated and plain fibre-cement sheets, autoclaved aerated concrete blocks, access flooring systems, calcium silicate insulation products, jointing material for automobile gaskets, plant and machinery for fibre-cement products and AAC blocks.
