Delhi HC bans plying of rickshaw in Chandi Chowk
New Delhi, May 17: The Delhi High Court today banned plying of rickshaws in the Chandni Chowk area near the historic Red Fort in the capital.
A division bench headed by Acting Chief Justice Vijender Jain directed the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) to remove all rickshaws to decongest the area.
Meanwhile the Delhi government today submitted a report in the court that sky bus would be introduced in the area for the convenience of the commuters.
