Death toll in cylinder blast goes up to 11
Aurangabad, Maharashtra, May 17 (UNI) Six more people succumbed to their injuries today, taking the death toll in the May 9 cooking gas cylinder blast here to 11.
The six died of serious injuries at the Government Medical College (GMCH) here this evening.
As many as 29 people were seriously injured in the gas cylinder blast at a hotel in Kanchanwadi, about 20 km from here.
While five people died yesterday, six succumbed to their injuries this evening, hospital sources added.
The vitims were sitting in the hotel, when the cylinder exploded in the evening of May 9, leading to a fire that caused extensive damage to the hotel.
The impact of the blast was such that a nearby 'paan' stall and furniture in an adjacent hotel were also damaged.
