Mumbai, May 17 (UNI) Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) wants the triangular one-day series in Sri Lanka, which will also feature South Africa to be held between August 15 and 30 and not in September as has been proposed by the Lankan board.

''We want the tri-series to be held in August rather than in September as has been proposed by the Sri Lankan board, ''BCCI Secretary Niranjan Shah told UNI today.

Mr Shah said he is going to Colombo to attend the Asian Cricket Council's Executive Board meeting on May 21 and would discuss the matter with the Lankan board officials.

He said the Board wants a short one-day series, with a couple of matches against the West Indies as well as Australia in North America in September. These matches are going to be endorsed by International Cricket Council, he informed.
